Who is responsible. I am: José Manuel dos Santos. You can reach me at zemanel@me.com.

What I collect.

  • The self-test: six profile answers, ten slider positions, your optional suggestion of a missing tension, and the date. They are stored under a random result code. I don't ask for your name or email.
  • To protect the numbers from automated submissions, I keep a scrambled version of your IP address for 24 hours, separate from your answers, and then delete it.
  • Comments and the collaboration form: your email address (to sign you in and to reply), the display name and affiliation you choose, and your message. Your email is never shown and never linked to self-test answers.

Why, and on what basis. To show you your result, to publish aggregate numbers, and for research on design leadership. The basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your data with your result code, or by writing to me.

Where it's stored, and who processes it. The site runs on Lovable Cloud (Lovable Labs Inc., United States), which uses Supabase for its database. The database is in the United States (US West, Oregon). Sign-in emails are sent through Lovable. I analyze the data myself, also in the United States, working on exports on my own computer. If you are in the EU or UK, your data is transferred to the United States.

How long I keep it. Self-test answers for five years, or until you delete them. Collaboration requests for 24 months. Comments for as long as they are published, or until you ask me to remove them. The scrambled IP address for 24 hours.

What I publish. Aggregate numbers only: how many people chose each profile answer and each position on the tensions. I never combine profile answers with each other or with slider positions, so no one's answers can be picked out. Suggested tensions appear only after I've read them, and never with your profile.

Your rights. You can access, download, correct and delete your data, withdraw your consent, and complain to a data protection authority. With your result code you can download or delete your self-test data yourself. Without the code I can't find it, because I don't know who you are.

Cookies and storage. No tracking or advertising cookies, and no analytics. Your browser keeps your result code so you can compare results over time. If you sign in to comment, your browser keeps your sign-in session.

Age. The self-test is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes. If I change this notice, I'll update the date at the top.
